Restricted Posts Showing Up in Calendar for Everyone

I have posts that are restricted to users with certain roles. Those posts aren’t shown when a user with lesser permissions tries to access them, but the titles and rollover excerpts are showing in the calendar. How do I make the calendar check for role-based permissions for each post? Thanks!
