    Hi all

I have been setting op my new job listing site, i have used Workscout theme with WP Job Manager plugin with is great by the way..

I have set it op with two languages Danish and Greenlandic, all the thing works with the Polylang translation plugin but when making job listing from front end (User Job listing page) there are no drop-down language chooser so when publishing it only makes the job listing in the default language which is Danish.

I saw that i can choose which language it will publish from back-end, how can i make it show language chooser on front-end?

    My site is on: sulisa.nunamedia.net

Hi @nunaroot I’m not sure we really have a solution for that at this point. We are working on getting the plugin compatible fully with WPML and I think at this point that will be the official solution.

Have you looked at this? https://polylang.pro/doc/multilingual-custom-post-types-and-taxonomies/

My guess here is that through a hook you will need to add a language chooser that saves the data appropriately for the plugin. I have a feeling this will be a bit involved and I’m wondering if they might have a solution they suggest for plugins like ours.

    Thanks for the reply ??

When do you think the new version which is WPML compatible released?

Right now it’s mostly compatible to my knowledge, at least for the core plugin. For the add-ons it depends on the add-ons. If you own the add-ons or are looking at purchasing them if you contact us through wpjobmanager.com/support we could definitely expedite this info for you.

Thanks again, everything works with polylang except when submit job on the front end there is no language field which can choose which language it should publish but it does on the submit job page on the back end admin page.

Hope you know what i mean.

Hi @nunaroot I do understand what you mean, but this is a functionality added by their plugin in the backend. We cannot add functionality in WPJM itself that would add compatibilities like this. It would be possible to have an additional plugin, or just using the hooks, that would add this. But the Polylang team would be in a better position to understand what is necessary. We’d be happy to chat with them on how to add that functionality and make that script available to people.

    Hi again

It would be great if you can do this for me! ??

I tried to buy WP Job Manager Field Editor but i couldn’t make this kind of field..

Can you maybe talk to them and send the script for me?

    Any news?

The field editor will not add this functionality as the WPML metadata is dealt with differently than the jobs data.

@nunaroot the best thing you can do here is ask for this as enhancement as a Github issue: https://github.com/Automattic/WP-Job-Manager/issues/new

WPML is a popular plugin, and it’s possible there is something we can do on our side to add this compatibility, maybe in conjunction with their help.
