    When I click to insert media, then navigate to upload a file to insert, the .docx and .pdf versions show as importable (but get a “you nee to upload an .odt file” error) but the required .odt file is grayed and cannot be selected to upload/insert.

    I find I can force it by dropping the .odt in the upload window instead of using the open/save/select dialog but when I do and go to preview the document, I get a fatal error:

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘ZipArchive’ not found in /home/orgchartpro/public_html/wp-content/plugins/docxpresso/CreateDocument.inc:87 Stack trace: #0 /home/orgchartpro/public_html/wp-content/plugins/docxpresso/plugin.php(67): Docxpresso\CreateDocument->__construct(Array) #1 /home/orgchartpro/public_html/wp-includes/shortcodes.php(345): docxpresso_call(Array, ”, ‘docxpresso’) #2 [internal function]: do_shortcode_tag(Array) #3 /home/orgchartpro/public_html/wp-includes/shortcodes.php(223): preg_replace_callback(‘/\\[(\\[?)(docxpr…’, ‘do_shortcode_ta…’, ‘[docxpresso fil…’) #4 /home/orgchartpro/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(298): do_shortcode(‘[docxpresso fil…’) #5 /home/orgchartpro/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php(203): WP_Hook->apply_filters(‘[docxpresso fil…’, Array) #6 /home/orgchartpro/public_html/wp-includes/post-template.php(240): apply_filters(‘the_content’, ‘[docxpresso fil…’) #7 /home/orgchartpro/public_html/wp-content/themes/Avada/single.php(98): the_content() #8 /home/orgchartpro in /home/orgchartpro/public_html/wp-content/plugins/docxpresso/CreateDocument.inc on line 87

    Any tips how to work through this?

    Dear Comradz,

    Regarding the second issue it seems that the required ZipArchive library is not installed in your server.

    Could you, please, ask the system administrators to activate the “zip module” in PHP. This usually comes installed by default but certain Internet providers deactivate it.

    Regarding the first issue of the impossibility of chosing an odt file we will look at it…

    I was getting the same problem, greyed out files, when using Safari. Switched to Chrome and it’s working.

    Yes it seems that you have to do something extra in Safari to upload .odt files…but that is a general issue not related specifically to the Docxpresso plugin.
