Best solution I found! The search is over now :)

  • I spend several days looking for a solution that would avoid users having to access the WordPress backend profile edit page and the nasty default (backend) login page.
    I tried tens of plugins, but none of these had brought a solid and stable solution or did not function with my WordPress multisite installation.
    And some did not have enough options to configure like a nice, slim and clean user interface for profile editing, user acceptance of terms and conditions or customizing the emails that are send out and the option that all strings can be translated.

    Finally I found “Clean Login” which brought all I need into the settings and I’m loving it. To me it is a comprehensive and consistent solution. I was so happy that I decided to contribute and completed the translation for this plugin in German.
