We recently updated to WordPress 4.8 and when we activated the Mailchimp for Woocommerce plugin the whole site crashes. The admin area just times out when you attempt to log in.
The only way I could fix it was using FTP to delete the Mailchimp plugin folder.

  • Hi @profoundworks,

Thanks for reaching out about this. To dig in, do you mind replying back here with a copy of your WooCommerce System status report and any errors you have logged that are MailChimp for WooCommerce specific? Also, does this issue persist if only the MailChimp for WooCommerce and WooCommerce plugins are active on the page? Thanks – this will allow us to rule out any plugin/theme or environmental conflicts and move forward with trouble shooting. We look forward to hearing back and helping out.

    Warm Regards,

This only occurs when the mailchimp for woocommerce plugin is active. As soon as it is deactivated the site crashes to a white screen (no errors, just a blank page). As soon as the plugin is deactivated (via FTP) the site works fine again.

It seems to be fixed now.

I deactiaved every plugin except for Woocommerce, installed Mailchimp for Woocommerce, then reactivated the other plugins one at a time.

    Everything seems fine now.

    Hey @profoundworks

Glad things are back up and running! If you have any further questions down the road, feel free to make a new post in the forums. We’re glad to help.
