I’ve got this strange behaviour since installing 2.7 today, which makes it almost impossible to work.

When editing (saving & publishing) posts, activating plugins, basically whenever wordpress DOES something it returns a white screen. The task however seems to be mostly done, except that I cannot activate some plugins (new ones).

    That is in Firefox 3.0.4.

When I tried to access the admin (www.domain.com/wp-admin) in Safari I get a blank page. No login, nothing just blank.

Anyone having the same issues?? Thanks for help and suggestions.

  • ask your host (do it if you can) to bump the php memory to 32M

Done that, will report if it worked, thanks. However, why would it now be necessary? Does it use so much more resources 2.7? Any other ideas?

In my case i solved the problem when i put “50M” (memory usage) in the configuration menu of Google Sitemap Plugin

OK the php memory allocation doesn’t seem to have any impact. Really starting to worry here.
    Summary:
    – I have no admin enhancing plugin installed
    – wp-admin completely blank/white
    – site up and running
    – cookies and cache cleared still no good.

I don’t know what to do.

I am having a similar, if not the same problem. It takes one or two page reloads to get the page to dispaly. It’s very frustrating and worrisome. I’ve noticed this beahvior in both Firebox and Safari on my PC.

then look in your error logs – this behaves like a php problem.

Thanks samboll, it was a functions.php problem after all. It had a space where there shouldn’t have been one. Php memory was probably a good thing too.

There is no php error being generated. I have checked the php error logs.

This is peculiar behavior. In the wp-admin, clicking on various areas will generally cause no issues, but frequently clicking on a section, such as “Links” will result in a blank page loading. Refreshing the page will result in the page fully loading as expected. No php errors are generated.

I never saw this in versions previous to 2.7

It may be php memory, but I’ve allocated 32M as the memory limit so I don’t think it is a memory issue.

I am having the same white page issue. When I try to publish a post I get a white page and not action. The post doesn’t happen and the info is LOST.

    1. I have upgrade my Google SML-Sitemap plugin to the suggested 50M but that did nothing.
    2. Then I went into my HostGator account and the PHP Configuration says 64M memory limit.
    3. How do you check your php error logs?

My blog never did this before the 2.7 upgrade! Can this be fixed or should I just downgrade to the previous edition…which worked?

    blessings,
    Wendy

i’m getting the same before and after upgrade to 2.7.1

trying to edit a page and after pressing the update button i get a blank page.php

    anyone?

    figured my issue out
deactivated all plugins and reactivated one by one
it was the wordpress stats plugin ??
everything was fine after i deactivated it

The Widget-Cache plugin can produce this issue – deactivating it resolved it for me. See WP Widget Cache Saving post leading to a blank page
