Just installed WP 2.7. It keeps asking me to upgrade the database. I do that, it says it upgraded successfully, but when I click “Continue” it prompts me to upgrade the database again.

    Help!

    Site is here:

  • are you using wp-cache plugin or any plugin which caches your files ??? if yes then deactivate this plugin and make sure to delete all cache files.

That’s a good thought. I just tried deleting all cache plugins and deleting all cache files and I’m still getting the same error tho.

My host finally resolved this. They said there was a “memory-cache stuck open” and they cleared it. Not sure what that means, or how it’s different from what I’d tried, but it worked.

Thanks for this thread; I had the same thing happen, but I resolved it by going into my hosting account’s cpanel, and then opening the MySQL Databases option, and checking and repairing the DB directly.

When I returned to the /wp-admin page, and clicked ‘upgrade database’ again (for the third time), it said, “Up to date already”, and then I could log in from there.

The site, which had been just a blank screen, came back as well.
