• I just upgraded to 2.7. No when I log in all of my menus are gone (that used to run along the top). Like pluggins, manage, stats, etc. All that is up there is the drop down menu New Post (that drops down to drafts, new page, upload and comments). And how do you get back to the dashboard home page from any other page?

  • I can’t find my menus either. Please help as I can’t change anything at the moment.

I’ve got the same problem. The screen samples I see of the WordPress 2.7 dashboard show the menu down the left side.

My left side is completely blank.

HELP. I can’t maintain my website!!!

I figured it out. The lighter menus plugin was causing the problem.

Since there is no way to disable the plugin, I had to resort to the sledgehammer approach. I used cpanel to delete the whole directory from the ~/wp-content/plugins directory.

    Now I have menus.

I had to do the same thing but with a different plugin. I had to manually delete Ozh Drop Down Menu for the menus to show up in the left column.

You should just be able to delete that one plugin folder, and leave the rest alone.

I had to deactivate ajax’dWordpress plugin to get mine working.

Also, there is a new version of the Fluency Admin theme that is awesomness incarnate…:) Yoiu just have to try it to believe it. Beats the stock panel hands down.

Now to figure out why the visual editor does not work.

Thanks everyone! trgreer, I had the same pluggin (which to be honest I miss now). Sounds like WP 2.7 should include a means to get to the pluggins menu on the top.
