Content Doesn’t Save in Text Editor

  • I’ve been having this issue for a week now since updating to 4.8 and also adding a new Avada patch.
    When I try to save a post (it doesn’t matter whether I use the Fusion builder or the normal text editor) the content doesn’t save. Oddly, it will save smaller blocks of text, for instance 500 words, but when I try to save an 1800 word post it reloads with an empty page.

    So far I’ve tried;

    – disabling plugins one by one
    – emptying all the caches
    – disabling cloudflare and redirecting the DNS back to our host

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    P.S – My support has run-out on Avada so I thought I’d ask here.

    I’d try switching to another theme to see if the issue persists. It sounds like a theme issue to me.

    Make sure you do a backup before switching themes.

    If the issue doesn’t persist on another theme, I’m afraid you’ll need to renew your Avada support and contact them.

    @earnest_m Please do not post duplicate topics for the same problem. I’ve removed your new topic.

    How far did you get with basic troubleshooting? Have you tried the following temporary steps?

    1. Deactivate all of your plugins, no exceptions (you did this earlier, I am just being complete)
    2. Switch your theme to Twenty Seventeen
    3. Clear your browser’s cache and cookies
    4. Re-log into your site and try to reproduce the problem

    If the problem goes away then re-activate your plugins but leave the theme on Twenty Seventeen.

    Does the problem still occur? If so then it may be your version of Avada and that’s something we can’t assist you with here.
