Visual editor isn’t working anymore

  • Hi there,

    I updated my blog https://www.heissehimbeeren.com to WordPress 4.8 earlier today and now the visual editor of my Post section isn’t working anymore. If I create a new post the section isn’t visible at all and for oder posts it looks kind of funny and I can’t make changes properly. The text version of the post is still working but it’s quite uncomfortable to work without the visual editor.
    I have also already updated all my posts and themes but the problem remains.

  • Probably some plugin or theme is causing trouble. First we have to find the troublemaker – to do this:
    – update all your plugins and themes – this may solve eveything
    – change your theme to default WP theme (twenty…) – if everything is working your current theme is reason of your problems
    – if the problem stil exists start turning off plugins one by one until text editor starts working

    Thanks to this steps you should be able to point the reason.

    Hi,

    thank you very much for the quick response.
    I found the problem. The Super Emoji Plus+ Plugin caused all the trouble.
    It’s deactivated now and everything works smoothly again.

    Thanks for the solutions. I have found that my theme is interfering with the visual editor. What should I do to change this? Can I only deactivate the theme? What will change on my website if I use the word press theme?
