How to handle MailChimp API Error in Contact Form 7 integration

    Is there a way to handle MailChimp API Errors in the Contact Form 7 integration?

    Use case:
    1. create a Contact Form 7 integration
    2. fill in the form using email [email protected]
    3. submit form

    Expected behaviour: submit should fail with message indicating why
    Actual behaviour: submit is successful but user is not added to MailChimp

    Log error:
    [2017-06-08 15:41:00] ERROR: Contact Form 7 > MailChimp API Error: Bad Request. john*****@ex*****.com looks fake or invalid, please enter a real email address.

    Hi,

    This would add a lot of complexity to our plugin so we don’t think we can add error handling in integrations any time soon.

    Usually the form that is integrated with has the priority, such is the case with CF7. We will send the data to MailChimp AFTER CF7 already shows you the success message.

    Hope that explains it and sorry I can’t help you any more with this,
