Posts not showing up immediately on homepage (or at all)

  • So recently, I’ve had trouble publishing my posts. They would be published and people can view it, but it wont show up on the homepage. Sometimes it would take 10-15 minutes for the post to show up on the homepage AFTER I published it. Sometimes, like right now, it isn’t showing up at all after 20 minutes. It says ‘published’ but it’s not on the homepage. I have deactivated useless plugins and cleared my cache.

  • Have you tried reaching out to the developer of your theme? It looks like you are usind a 3rd party theme.

    I have deactivated useless plugins and cleared my cache.

    Try:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches. Not just your browser, but any op cache or content network cache as well such as Cloudflare. If your host provider has a “Purge Varnish” option or if you can ask your provider to flush memcache on your server. If you are using SiteLock, manage your caching there.
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Seventeen.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
