Security plugin

  • I am still very new to web pages and cPanel, wordpress. I have wordpress 4.8

    The last two days, I have 2 users that just came form nowhere. I deleted both right away. Thank goodness I was on my computer.

    What is a good security plugin? Is there anything else I need to know about Security other than strong passwords? Thank you

    I can’t help you with a security plugin, but I do wonder: if you don’t want people to be able to create accounts on your system, did you disable that in wp-admin?

    Under Settings->General, the Membership box should be un-checked.

    Hope this helps and that you don’t have a more serious problem!

    Do you allow registration on your site?

    I use Wordfence on all my sites for security.
