Hi there,
First and foremost, we provide a way of disabling Javascript events tracking right here: https://cloud.supportally.com/1K371C313f0p/ (note the middle option will not appear for most of our users).
MonsterInsights loads absolutely zero tracking pixels whatsoever. We only load the analytics.js script from Google. Everything after that which it includes we have no control over, as that script is made/delivered by Google itself, not by us.Depending on your Google Analytics’s script can load a tracking pixel from DoubleClick (again whether it loads this and where it is from is entirely up to your Google Analytics settings and Google; MonsterInsights has no way to turn this on or off or modify anything regarding this behavior), which it uses for things like demographics retargeting. These settings are controlled from the Google Analytics settings panel (on analytics.google.com), particularly the Retargeting and Demographics options: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/3450482?hl=en
I’ve never heard of Eyeota before, but from what I understand from Google’s site, they’re a Doubleclick partner: https://support.google.com/dfp_premium/table/7281770?hl=en so it’s likely that if you have a configuration that causes Google’s analytics.js script to add a doubleclick script, that maybe it also loads pixels from their partner. I’m not 100% sure though as that’s entirely coming from Google’s end, so you’d want to reach out with them.
It’s also possible this pixel is coming from another plugin you have installed. If you can provide the url of your site, we might be able to help figure out if that’s the case and if so maybe even which plugin.
Again, the only third party script we load anywhere is Google’s own Analytics.js file, which is the Javascript file they provide for Google Analytics.
