Must be owner of YouTube channel to get API ?

    Hello.

    I want to embed YouTube videos on my blog but the channel is not mine, it is the YouTube’s channel of a friend.

    Is it possible to get a working API to use with his channel on my blog ?

    Gilles,

    An API key is not associated with or restricted to a particular YouTube channel. It’s simply needed to get data from YouTube via the Google application programming interface. This plugin requires a key in order get certain data that YouTube/Google provides — regardless of which channel. Finally, depending on what you’re trying to do with this plugin, an API key is not even needed.
