Hi! I’m having two issues with my Bento install:

First, my sticky header is getting cut off when I scroll down the page. I’ve tested this on Chrome and Firefox – half of the logo is hidden behind the standard WordPress bar at the top. What can I do to fix this?

My second question has to do with post categories. Is there any way to display posts from just one category on my static homepage?

Thanks so much for your help!

    Hey Heather,

    thank you for choosing Bento!

Regarding the first issue: please provide the URL of the page in question – seeing the live code will enable me to provide a more effective fix. Thanks!

At the moment the theme does not support filtering post queries by categories or other taxonomies in its layouts, but what you can do is create e.g. a Post Loop widget using the bundled Visual Content Builder, and set up the loop to display only a specific category.

The error doesn’t happen unless someone is logged in. Here’s a screenshot:

The header displays correctly if you’re at the top of the page, but when you scroll down, it cuts off like that.

As for the other issue, I’ll try the Visual Content Builder. Thank you!

    Dear Heatherly,

thank you for the additional information! The logo issue is the consequence of both the WordPress admin bar and the theme’s sticky header using “fixed” CSS property, i.e. trying to stay on top of the page on scroll. It’s not a bug per se and only affects the admins of the website, for whom this doesn’t allegedly matter that much ??

What you can do to improve the appearance of the fixed header while being logged in is increasing the logo padding in the “Site Elements” tab of the “Appearance – Customize” admin section – making them larger will prevent the logo from being obscured by the admin bar. Alternatively, you can turn off the admin bar since it basically duplicates the functions available in the WP admin.

    Sincerely,

Thank you very much! Both of those solutions worked for me. ??
