Correct Way to Handle New Image Uploads

Hi,

if you don’t activate HTTPS in the WP general settings then new images don’t have https prefixed and so https fails. Which is the best way to handle this? I can make the site URLS HTTPS, but the plugin doesn’t recommend this.

What is the most efficient way.
