I have this plugin installed on one site of a multisite network. I have the “Social Login” turned on and set to appear alongside all areas. Currently if a user is logged in, in place of the form there is the typical “Hi, [username]” and a “log out” link. However clicking the “log out” link does not log you out of the site.

You would like to check if the same happens when you login using login form. If it does, it’s related to your website’s default login/logout functionality.

it does NOT happen when using the login form to log into the site. I can log in using the default /wp-login.php form. I tested logging out via wp-admin bar (top right) as well as the “log out” link that display throughout my site where I have login widgets added.
