WP Link Directory Description Problem

  • I’m running the latest version of WP Link Directory

    I have set the field length in the Add Url section to 2000 characters.

    Unfortunately, the description still only stores 250 characters. And nothing I do seems to affect this. As the people coming on my site need to add detailed descriptions, this is something that I need to overcome.

    It neither displays a description over 250 chars or store a description over 250 chars.

    Can anyone help?

  • sounds like you need to do some changing to the database itself. If the column only supports 250 characters you’ll need to change it to “text” for more.

    So change the VarChar element in the code?

    just looked at the link directory again – it is this version that is also causing the earlier problem that i had with the visual control panel in write.

    Look for another link directory then?

    Still no solution. changed Varchar to Text (2000) no difference
