database upgrade out of date

  • does anyone know how to fix problem which happened to me after installing wordpress.

    It say’s the following

    Database Upgrade Required

    Your WordPress database is out-of-date, and must be upgraded before you can continue.

    The upgrade process may take a while, so please be patient.

    Upgrade WordPress

    Then I click and get a blank screen, which sucks. Have’nt found any help yet on how to fix it. Would gladly appreciate the assistance.
