Hello, I would like to have a second map next to the main map showing a macro (or country) view so user can quickly get an idea where the location is located in comparison to the rest of the country.

    Sample mockup:
    overlay macro view

    1. What is the technical term for the second map? (Someone said it might be called overlay).
    2. Can your plugin do this? If not, can you recommend another plugin that does this? Or a modification that could accomplish this?

    Thank you in advance.

  • Hi there

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

    1) That is indeed an overlay that has been added to the map

    2) Unfortunately the plugin doesn’t support this off the bat. If you’d be willing to pay for the plugin to be modified by us to achieve this, you can submit a custom quote request here: https://www.wpgmaps.com/customization-requests/ as the changes required to achieve this are quite advanced.

    I hope this helps?

Hello, thanks for your reply. Forget about overlaying one map over the other. How about just putting two maps next to each other, say, in an html table? I mean can your plugin handle doing two maps next to each other in the same post – both showing same location but at very different zoom levels?

    Hi there

Unfortunately the plugin doesn’t allow you to display the same map on the page more than once. You’d need to create two maps (A Pro version feature) and then place them side by side on the page.

    I hope this helps?
