Use S3 for Media Upload but Persist in S3 on Media Delete

Hi there, I am using an S3 plugin to copy media to an S3 bucket on upload. My issue is that I would like to keep the media library small, while continuing to archive images in the s3 bucket for use with a static url.

The plugin I am using is WP Offload S3 Lite, which is pretty great except that the url goes bad once I delete the image from my media library. Any ideas on another plugin or modification of the existing one? Thank you in advance for your time and insight!
