permissions to insert photo???

    I can’t seem to find anyone who has this problem. When I use the ‘add media’ option to insert a photo into a post, I can upload the image using the “browser option”. The graphic IS uploaded to wp-content/uploads. Thumbnails ARE create. But when I try to save the post WP tells me I don’t have permissions and points at wp-admin/media-upload.php.

    What’s weird is that default permissions seem to be 644 on the files in this directory. If I increase permissions on those files (I’ve tried several and all the way up to 775) the entire system fails and I can’t even log in.

    Can somebody give me some guidance here? Otherwise WP seems to be working just fine.

    Greetings, it is kind of hard to try and help without some other info.

    Is this the first time you tried this?

    What is the wordpress version?

    Site URL?

    What plugins are you using?

    Any new plugins installed recently?

    What is in your php.ini file?
