Only importing a few images :( have searched forum and googled, no luck

  • first time with this plug-in so i maybe missing the obvious …

    i’m trying to import with a hashtag, but it only imports one or two. have attempted with no date filter and doing the batch importing month by month (per a post i found here), but still no luck. only the most recent one came in.

    settings:

      Filter import by hashtag: Will only import instagram photos with these hashtags. Please separate tags with commas. rva, colorloaded, mirrorpool

      Import from this date: Select a date to begin importing your photos. tried this with no fields set, with dates set back to 2010, and doing batch dates; all with and without filter and with filter disabled checked

      Import to Post-Type: post

      Imported posts status: published

      Assign posts to an existing user: [myself]

      Select Imported Posts Format: standard

      Categories to apply to imported posts. test

    everything else is left at default. i haven’t touched any of the post title or content parameters because i don’t understand shortcode construction and/or php. i tried to find some more detailed instruction to help me learn more, but no luck.

    plug-in looks very practical, hopefully someone can help me along my learning curve toward realizing full potential.

    I’m not able to get very far either. I setup some clean WordPress installs on my local server with only this plugin. I can get it to import more than 17 at time. It would be inconvenient to do it in smaller batches, but I don’t see even that is possible, because it always starts with the most recent post, confirms that it has already been imported, and then states “No new Instagram shots to import.”

    So I can only download the last 17 post each time. I’m not sure if the 17 limit has something to do more with Instagram’s limitations or not, but if you could figure out how to start the imports from something other than the most recent, you might be able to do it in batches.

    Okay, found the hack that the author added, but commented out in github. That fixed my problem, and now I have all my post.

    Glad you found the hack, and I’m sorry for the slow response and the bug. Right now, I have a lot going on and I’m not able to give this plugin the attention it needs. Working on figuring out a long-term plan for it.
