I actually prefer to pay for my plugins, so when the free version of Visual Form Builder started letting spam through, I was going to simply upgrade so I would be able to use Google’s recaptcha, which works so much better than the old captchas.

Seeing the reviews here quickly dissuaded me from paying, as it seems the Pro version is even worse in some aspects than the free one.

It’s a shame, as Visual Form Builder was a lucky find; none of the others save submitted data without a second plugin.

Several months ago I read here that Matthew Muro knew about the problem and was working on a fix. After waiting patiently for EIGHT months, I’m giving up.

I’ll pay to upgrade, but I need to know that I’m not paying to buy a differently-broken product.

  • Thanks for reaching out! An update was made to counter these issues in the Pro version. However, there can still be other things that can allow spam to pass such as insufficient server settings that can cause strange issues – so I would suggest making sure that your server meets the minimum requirements(link below). If you do upgrade to Pro, I would also suggest making sure that your form has required fields and of course Captcha, which you have already said you will be using.

    Thanks!

Thanks! If I buy the developer’s license and later want to buy just 1 add-on, I assume I can use the add-on on unlimited sites, right?

The single add-ons are for single use. The Developer Bundle has unlimited add-on use.
