Contact Used By Postie in Active Campaign unsubscibed after 7-8 days

    Hey guys,

    Just want to run something quick by you. We’ve recently switched to Active Campaign from Aweber for our email autoresponder provider, and we’ve run into a problem.

    It seems the email contact in Active Campaign that Postie connects to to display the email keeps getting unsubscribed by Active Campaign. Being honest, I’m pretty sure this is Active Campaign’s doing, but before I go back to them I want to check if there is anything on the Postie side that would lead to a contact becoming unsubscribed?

    Nothing in Postie would follow the link to unsubscribe.

    Hey Wayne,

    Active Campaign are saying that the contact is being unsubscribed from the same IP address, which is Google in Mountain View. I’ve used two seperate email accounts with different hosting companies and it’s the same IP. Thing is though – none of the email accounts use Google, they are all hosted by normal hosting companies (one is Godaddy, the other a hosting provider in Ireland). Does Postie have anything to do with Google or gmail at all? Sorry for the questions – I just want to get to the bottom of this. Active Campaign are saying it’s nothing to do with them, that someone connected to the email account (either the hosting providers or someone/something that accesses it) is responsible.

    Postie has no relationship with Google. Everything runs only on your server. Postie does not contact any other servers via http.

    However, you might look at the “Send post confirmation email to” setting. It might be possible that the “sender” is the address for unsubscribing?
