Looks like the developer has given up on it

I am ONLY writing this review to help others in case they come across my same issue. I had installed this plug in and went through my deadlinks list to setup all of the redirects. All of this worked fine until you went to test it.

None of the links redirected as written instead bringing me back to 404 again. I carefully reviewed the documentation, looked at others issues, etc. and started to realize many other people were running into the same issue as I am. The author (as of this writing) has only resolved 3 out of 44 issues in the past 2 months.

Anyyyyway… back to looking for another solution.
