Can not choose category inside of post edit

  • I don’t seem to have the same database problem with categories that i have seen on this forum. none of my categories are missing and i can add new ones in the manage categories section. my problem is in write>post categories seems to be broken and they will not list. the dropdown displays links for “all categories” and “add new category” but they do absolutely nothing. the URL does change when i click on them but nothing happens.

  • What browser and browser version are you using? If you are using Firefox, then, are you using the NoScript plugin?

    Try emptying your browser’s cache and then restarting your browser.

    i’ve tried viewing my admin in both camino 1.6.5 and safari 3.1.2
    i got around the problem but installing the Manageable plugin that allows you to set the categories in the manage page but the problem is still there in the post page.
    btw. i upgraded to WP 2.7 and still had the problem also features for my nextgen gallery didn’t work. can’t say that the problems are necessarily connected but i have no idea. It’s just these things that aren’t working
    I reverted back to WP 2.6 because less seemed broken.
