I disagree with your solution…
When direct translation in the functions.php file, the text in each update is overwritten and use the next plugin for only one text on the send button is unnecessary.
The easiest and cleanest solution is the straightforward option of your own text right in your plugin.
Its a big problem?

I think I understand your point. When a 3rd-party theme is used, the functions.php file is overwritten on each theme version update. Is that correct?

I have a feature planned for Site Reviews that will replace the current translation options of the plugin. Instead of providing a text field for custom translations of each label and placeholder (which admittedly is limiting), there will be a dedicated section in the settings to manage custom translation of any string in the plugin.
