    Hello,

I was playing around with the checkboxes for “Don’t load Popup Maker core stylesheet” and “Don’t load popup theme styles to the head”. I selected each and saved to see my changes. I originally copied and pasted the CSS from both sections into my custom css file. (I have since deleted the css from my custom css)

However, now I can seem to uncheck those boxes. When I do, after I hit save and the page refreshes the checkboxes are checked again. Also I can’t seem to close the modals anymore and a black bar is showing up on the left side of the browser when I click on a link to bring the modal up.

Any suggestions of how I could get this fixed? Thanks

  • I was having the same issue.

I found if you click on the misc tag and then back to assets tab it will save. no idea why it works. but it does.

@tdwstaff, @adamcehe @coreyjames – Can anybody do more debugging. Would love the following info from each of you to try and track this down. To clarify I cannot duplicate based on what I have here on a clean install.

    Helpful info:

    – Video Screencapture of the issues your having.
    – Check for JS errors in the console.
    – Check for php errors in logs.
    – Get the contents of the Popup Maker -> Tools -> Debug info so we can try to see if its possibly a conflict with another plugin.

    Look forward to your responses.

Have to eat my words, just saw something similar on dev server. I had all 3 checked, came back 1 hour later and unchecked all 3, then saved. They came back checked. That said I attribute it to object cache. To clarify I have Redis object caching enabled in the admin to speed it up and most hosts these days employ something similar. I refreshed a few times and they went to unchecked, I didn’t have to save again to clear them, which points to cache. At least in my case.

Hi Daniel – I had this same issue a few days ago, not sure how I fixed it, just kept refreshing and clicking boxes!
Today, I have tried again – I have checked the don’t load google fonts and don’t load popupmaker themes, I’ve copied the framed border theme into my style sheet. I have saved and the boxes remain checked however my page is still loading both items. I’ve tried deactivating and reactivating, and I’ve tried deleting and deactivating all the cache plugins. My site is https://www.psych-fitness.com.
    Any help appreciated!
    Thanks

@elisahp – Not seeing any of our stylesheets loaded on the page, they are wrapped into the autooptimize files. Maybe CDN cache or similar? Seems to be correct now. Did you have the checkbox issue the second time around? I still have not been able to duplicate this reliably enough to patch it.

    Hi Dan
Thanks for replying – I’ve turned autoptimize off so you can have a look. All the themes and font are still appearing in View Source despite those two popup settings being checked…
Let me know if you want me to try anything else, I can deactivate the rest of the plugins and check again if you like, except for WP super cache as this removes all its settings when I deactivate it and I think I tried that already anyway!
Let me know when you’ve looked so I can switch AO back on again too ??
    Cheers
    Elisa

pro-tip; you can disable autoptimize regardless of if being active by adding ?ao_noptimize=1 to the URL ??

    frank (ao dev)

    Thanks for the tip Frank!
    @danieliser any update at all?
