    Hello @chrissmit,

It appears you may have another plugin (or possibly theme) that is modifying the content adding the “See the original article here”, or it could be that you are manually entering this information into the excerpt.

If you are not entering “See the original article here” when you create your blog posts, then please go to PowerPress settings > Feeds tab and check the option “Do not allow other plugins to modify podcast feeds.”. While you are at it, go ahead and select “Accelerate Feed” and if you have more than 10 items in your feed, select the Feed Maximizer option further down. Then click save.

If you are manually entering an excerpt separate from your blog post, you can create separate itunes summaries and subtitles. Go to PowerPress > Episodes tab and check the options ” iTunes Subtitle Field” and “iTunes Summary Field” and click save. Hwo when you create episodes you can manually enter a different itunes summary and subtitle for every episode.

    Thanks for the help.
For now I’ve only your first suggestion.
I’ll wait what that will give before trying out the second suggestion.

How long does that take to trickle through to iTunes?

    Kind regards,
    Chris

It can take up to 24 hours for changes in your RSS feed to show up in your public iTunes Store listing. But, if you’re subscribed to the feed on a device, the changes should appear as soon as you refresh the subscription.

    Hi,

Now I’ve got something weird happening:
I have made the changes that were suggested earlier in this thread and, indeed, for one podcast episode I now see a description.
However, my latest podcast (gone live May 2, 2017 at 00:00 Central European time) does not show up in iTunes, nor on my phone.
It did go live, because I can see en hear it on my own site.

In the meantime, I have undone the first two changes (go to PowerPress settings > Feeds tab and check the option “Do not allow other plugins to modify podcast feeds.”. While you are at it, go ahead and select “Accelerate Feed” and if you have more than 10 items in your feed, select the Feed Maximizer option further down. Then click save.)

I’ve waited a couple of hours, but still nothing in iTunes nor my phone…

    Any suggestions?

    Kind regards,
    Chris

The latest episode (079) is in the podcast RSS feed. It should’ve shown up on the iTunes Store listing by now. Go to https://podcastsconnect.apple.com/ and log in with your Apple ID. Click the artwork for your show and then click the “refresh feed” link. It may take up to 24 hours for your iTunes Store listing to update. Keep in mind that current subscribers will get your latest episode as soon as they refresh their subscriptions, regardless of what’s being displayed in the iTunes Store.

    Hi,

    I’ve done what you suggested.

At this moment of writing episode 079 does not show up in iTunes.

    Let’s see what happens.

Thanks for the help so far.
