• I created a password and set up my .org account but when I tried to install a theme I encountered a problem and got kicked out of my site. Then when I went to go back into my site I got a message saying the page couldn’t be reached.
    Could use some help…
    Thank you,
    Rita

Using FTP or your hosting control panel, delete the theme you just uploaded. Look in wp-content/themes.

    Hi Steve,
Thanks for your response. When I typed in wp-content/themes it took me to the themes but I couldn’t delete anything from there. I don’t think the theme ever downloaded when I was trying to do it. And I can’t get to my control panel to delete anything w/o logging into my site right? That’s what I’m having trouble with.

    When I typed in wp-content/themes

    when you typed into what?

I typed it into my URL and it took me to a theme directory. I saw the twenty seventeen theme but couldn’t do anything with it. It just has the download button on it, I guess for you to download again.

I guess I should’ve told you that I’m not tech savvy at all. I’m just learning now

I meant for you go to your hosting control panel, not to WordPress at all. Navigate to public_html/wp-content/themes and delete the directory for the theme that failed to install.

Ok this isn’t working. I went to my Bluehost cpanel first and didn’t see anywhere to delete anything. I saw where they had themes and templates and I clicked on that and that took me to the MoJo marketplace. That’s why I didn’t think that was the right place to be. I don’t know what to do now.

You’re going to the wrong place. Please contact Bluehost tech support to walk you through this.

    Hi Steve,
I talked to a rep at Bluehost and he said that I don’t have a .org site. He only see the .com site. He said this is why I’m having a problem. Could you tell me or do you know why I got an email saying I had a .org site? I know that’s what I originally thought I had but it ended up being .com. Could you tell me what should I do? I’m really confused.
    Thanks for your patience,
    Rita

What is the domain for your site?

    (@rvj001)

    Hello Steve,
rvjohnsonwriting4u.com is my domain name. I already had a rvjohnsonwriting4u.wordpress.com site which is why I thought I was getting a .org site this time. The rep at Bluehost said I’d have to pay for my domain name if I wanted a .org site now.
I just wanted a site for my new copywriting business that wasn’t a blog.
I found out the first site is just for blogging and didn’t know that when I got it otherwise I would’ve gotten a .org hosted site then.

rvjohnsonwriting4u.com is pointed to Bluehost. You need to work with their tech support.
