Backup existing website

    Hi there,

    I am very new to WordPress and my question may sound silly but I really struggle at the moment. Right, so I create a website using wordpress and 1and1 hosting provider, it happened that I had to change my laptop and I did not backup the website with a plugin (at the time I was very stressed and missed that)from my old laptop and now I wonder how to login back again to my dashboard? I will be very grateful for any advises as obviously I got stuck

    If you set up WordPress on 1and1, then it’s not on your laptop. Is the issue that you don’t know how to login?

    Why can’t you login? What happens when you try?

    Sorry Steve maybe I did not express my enquiry properly. I do not know how to log in back to the dashboard, shall I download the while folder from the host or download new WordPress? I have changed my laptop and I don’t have installed WordPress on it

    You do not need WordPress on your laptop to access a remotely hosted site.

    Use https://www.example.com/wp-login.php to login to your site.

    Awww thank you very much Steve, I didn’t add.php at the end and I was stuck for a day wondering what was wrong ?? thank you
