I need to add “.htm” to some permalink PAGES (not posts). When I edit the permalink, it strips the period. I’ve tried two plugins: advanced permalink and custom permalink and these appear to allow a period when I update the permalink, but when I come back to the saved page, the siff after the period is stripped entirely.

Now I COULD 301 all the old urls to a WordPress syntax, but can anyone tell me first if there is an easy way to allow periods in PAGE permalink structures?

No, there isn’t any easy way.

OK – thanks. At least I know now. I’ll put all those redirects back ??

i managed to get the period to work by using ONLY the advanced permalink plugin. don’t use both advanced and custom permalink at the same time – that somehow screws it up.
