• I’ve had to turn my opt-in form due the huge volume of spam submittals we were getting; any way around this, or compatible Captcha or way of working with for example, ‘WPBruiser’ plug-in?

Really appreciate it if you could come back to me on this, as have left various posts on other relevant tickets, but no response before that.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I’ve just spoken to Devesh ( the plugin owner ) and he gave the go ahead to figure out a way to combat spam submissions and update the plugin.

I’m not sure if captcha would be a good choice, it would most likely have a bad effect on conversions.

I’ll check out WPBruiser and also other methods that don’t rely on a 3rd party plugin and figure out what’s the best way to approach this issue.

    That’s good news, thank you.

And yep, I think a non-captcha approach would be preferable.

Will wait to hear how it goes, good luck ??

    Hi,

Which email newsletter provider are you using? ( MailChimp, Aweber… )

It varies… Do you have a preference that would make solving this easier? If so, let me know and I’ll see if we can work with it…

    Thanks.

    Hi listuk,

Can you send over an email to skustrimovic at gmail, and I’ll send over the modified version of the plugin so we can see if it stops the spam.

    Done, thanks (assuming it’s gmail.com?)
