• Greetings all!
I am totally new to the wordpress forums!
I have a website I am making mostly for fun and a hobby for now. Eventually I want the website to be a fun and useful for people to use as a way to geek out, or ask about projects/problems they’re working on.
I want it to have a fun quirk fantasy/star trek vibe to it.

Problem: the free themes I’ve tried so far don’t quite have menu’s or a reely straitfoward way to do basics like tweak the background.

Also anyone have experience or opinions with adding a wiki or how-to part to websites?
Basically I thought it might be useful for their to be a place where people can post guides and possibly update their guide without needing special permision from me.

Also if this the wrong place to post questions like this by all meens point me to the right direction.
Or if WordPress might simply be the wrong tool that’s fine as well (I hope) Just picked it since I’ve used some for other kinds of projects.

As a concrete example I think what I’m looking for is something simillar to what wix has where you can just click and move stuff around. Wich is extremly nice so I can see and plan and lay out while looking at it. And not guessing from CSS and other plain text how it’ll look. in my experience it’s really hard to picture that (many times)

I love how it has a reely simple way to say ok lets see what Adventure looks like for news and update headlines. (for example)
