Email verification URL format

  • I notice that when users attempt to register with my site and need to provide email verification they receive a URL via email like below:

    https://www.domain.com/?SuperSocializerKey=##################

    Is there a way to alter the URL so it does not have the plugin name visible? I would prefer, for security reasons, that this not be so obvious. I hope you can consider this for a future release. Thank you very much.

    We have applied our plugin’s name as prefix to the querystring variable just to keep the variable name unique. We don’t want to end up performing calculations on some other plugin’s variable. Still, we will change it in upcoming releases.

    Thank you for your kind consideration. I imagined that was the reason for this but I am happy to hear you will make this change in an upcoming release to keep a non-obvious appearance to outside visitors.
