My blog address?

  • I am totally challenged when it comes to computers, Web sites, etc. I have a Web site hosted by startlogic which a very kind friend put together for me. But, I want to be more independent so I’ve decided I can put together my own blog. I’ve installed wordpress and I’m still in the process of figuring out what I’m doing. But, here are two questions: 1. How do I know what my blog address is? 2. How do I get my blog to show up on my Web site – meaning as button visitors can access? I know my questions are elementary, but everyone is a beginner at some point, right? Thanks in advance.

  • Don’t fret it mate, those aren’t elementary questions, your learning. ??

    1. Well, since you are already on a domain you would have a sub-domain like this: blog.yourdomain.com OR yourdomain.com/blog

    The ‘blog’ name can be changed to anything you want such as ‘personalblog’ or ‘news’, etc..

    Or if you add another domain, you can just a public_html installation in the root of the domain folder and just access the blog from: yourdomain.com

    2. You can just post a link on your website to your blog. In your navigation or footer or anywhere. Just name it ‘blog’, ‘personalblog’ or any name you want.

    Then people will be re-directed to your blog from your website.
