Issue with custom element addition

Can you please let us know if the custom css is showing in your site and the fo-elements.css file located in /wp-content/uploads/font-organizer/fo-elements.css?

In order to reproduce the issue can you please let us know what elements were you adding, what font weight and what font were you using?

Let us know as soon as possible so we can sort it out for you.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes /wp-content/uploads/font-organizer/fo-elements.css is there but with one comment only. No contents is getting added after adding the elements.

I did add for all the fonts that we have added as well as for ‘ABeeZee’. Nothing works.

I have tried to give 777 permission to uploads directory, still its not working.

Please suggest what might be the reason behind this.

Thanks for your quick reply.

I have again tried on my local by putting WP_DEBUG as true. And found the issue is with the latest version of plugin. The older version was working fine whereas the latest one not. After updating the plugin, I am getting following error:

WordPress database error: [Unknown column ‘e.font_weight’ in ‘field list’]
SELECT e.id, u.name, e.font_id, e.font_weight, e.custom_elements, e.important FROM wp_fo_elements as e LEFT OUTER JOIN wp_fo_usable_fonts as u ON e.font_id = u.id ORDER BY e.font_id DESC

As well as when I am trying to save any custom font element from settings( section 4), the following error is throwing.

I did update of the plugin for our website which is LIVE.

But I found the same following errors with some notices while adding font element.

Last option for us is to force an update by going to YOUR_SITE/wp-admin/options.php, search for ‘fo_db_version’. it’s value should be 2.0.1. Change it to 1.3.2 go all the way down and click “Save Changes”.
After that go to the Font Settings page and let us know if it fixed your issue.

If the above fix did not work, then it may be a database issue blocking the plugin from updating.

I have fixed that custom element issue with hello new by following steps:
— Kept wp_fo_elements table backup and deleted that table from DB.
— Then deleted the plugin from CMS after keeping the backups.
— Then reinstalled the plugin with latest update. So after reinstalling the plugin, ‘ wp_fo_elements’ table got created with the new field ‘font weight’ in Database which was not there earlier.
— Since we had few data in table from earlier version for this instance, to keep all existing tags I have added those rows manually looking at the backups.

I still get the error as:

WordPress database error: [Unknown column ‘e.font_weight’ in ‘field list’]
SELECT e.id, u.name, e.font_id, e.font_weight, e.custom_elements, e.important FROM wp_fo_elements as e LEFT OUTER JOIN wp_fo_usable_fonts as u ON e.font_id = u.id ORDER BY e.font_id DESC

I have few sites with pre-existing data in the update. I can’t manually update each of them by reinstalling the plugin. it is tedious.

Please let me know the fix for this.
