Best Donation Plugin Out there. Period

I founded OrgSpring, a nonprofit whose main goal is to help other nonprofits with their technology. A big focus for us is helping other organizations with digital organizing and digital fundraising. Since 2012 we’ve helped nonprofits raise more than $20 million completely online.

I started working with GiveWP the moment it hit the streets, and I love it. It’s super easy to use, setup, install, configure, and maintain. Even the premium offerings are much less expensive than other donation products on the wordpress market.

Of course, you could install WooCommerce – but you’d need a few other premium plugins to make it work right for donations. Even then, you’d need some custom code to make the buttons say “Donate Now” instead of “Complete Purchase” or some other e-commerce related nonsense. Ever try to edit WooCommerce standard emails to make them say the right things for donations? Yeah, good luck.

But with GiveWP, everything just works out of the box. They have checkboxes for disclaimers or notices or terms. Receipts work well, custom forms are inexpensive to add on and easy to use, and they have multiple options for display.

It just works, and it works well.

It’s the only thing we recommend to startup nonprofits, and often what we recommend for growing nonprofits that want easy to use and maintain donation platforms.
