Flooded By 404 Errors

  • Hi,

    We seem to be getting a lot of 404 errors in variations, as seen in the screenshots below, on our clients websites.

    We’ve managed to fix some of the 404 errors but are still getting floods of them every day.

    Just wanted to check if there is anything we should be concerned/worried about with the 404 errors shown in the screenshots. Or if there is anything we could do to prevent being spammed with them.

  • I had the same issue this morning and when I click the links, I get 404 error messages and not redirection. Doesn’t this plugin offer a redirection for all 404 messages and not individually as well?

    Jamie, it’s just bots probing your site for vulnerabilities. There’s nothing really you can do about it – just make sure you aren’t vulnerable to anything!

    No, a 404 should be a 404 unless it really is something that used to exist and now exists somewhere else.
