• When an event is set to draft status, the location corresponding to that event still shows up on the location map, and the location_status in the database is set to 1. Furthermore and perhaps relatedly, the counts for event types are not properly updating in the WordPress admin– it’s showing the incorrect number of published posts in parentheses at the count at the top, and this number does not correspond to the actual number of published posts, which is much smaller in my case.

I have tried to deactivate all other plugins and have tried with the default theme, and these problems are still occurring.

  • Is this a location that has other, published events associated with it?

Which version of Events Manager are you using?

No. There are a grand total of only 4 published events using this plugin, but we have a good deal of “draft” events set up, and there are more than 20 locations showing up on the front end, many of which correspond only to unpublished/draft events. There should be at most 4 locations showing on the map.

    I’m using version 5.6.6.1.

It’s possible this is a conflict caused by your theme or another plugin. To check if it is, can you test with all other plugins deactivated and while running the default WordPress theme?

I already addressed this in my first post above.

    hi,

do you have sample link to your location map for us to see and analyze? also, can you try to check your php logs to see if there’s any other error?

    Yep, sure.

    The error logs are clear.

Again, if it’s any help, the number of posts listed in parentheses at the top of the events view in the admin dash are also incorrect. It’s showing that there are 33 published events, where in fact the list only has 20 published events. There are only a total of 27 entries in the database under wp_em_events. I’m not sure where things are going wrong or getting lost.

Another update possibly related to this issue: There are events with an event_status of 1 listed in the database that have been deleted entirely from the WordPress admin. Hypothetically, these deleted events still being in the database and listed as published events could be causing false positives on the location data associated with those events.

    Any guidance here?
