• I’ve been trying to debug this for awhile without much luck. It seems 4.7.3 is pretty much busted on my server. I’m running a multisite install that I rolled back to 4.7.2 and everything looks as it should. Then it updated back to 4.7.3 and it’s back to this mess. This is what it looks like on the Multisite plugin admin.
    Broken admin

I use Cloudflare and tried turning it off and nothing fixed this. Turned off all plugins, same. Did a fresh install of WordPress twice. Turned off all caching plugins.
    Errors

When I go to edit a post I get a ton of TinyMCE load errors. I’m at a loss for why this is happening. Did something major change in 4.7.3 from 4.7.2? I wouldn’t figure a point release would explode things. In searching I didn’t find any other threads outlining major issues with 4.7.3, so I’m wondering if this might be a multisite bug.

    – have you tried MANUALLY updating. Download a fresh copy of the WordPress .zip file to your computer, unzip it, and use that to copy up all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory. You may need to delete the old wp-admin and wp-includes folders and files on your server before uploading the new ones. Please read the Manual Update directions first.
Backup: If you haven’t already done, always backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case something really goes wrong. You can never have enough backups!

That’s exactly what I did. On my host I find the quickest way to do it is to use the File Manager in cPanel. I upload the install as a zip, minus the wp-content and wp-config.php, delete everything except those 2 items on the server, then extract the zip to the server. Takes like 30 seconds. Easily the fastest way I’ve seen to do an update.
