Cannot Insert Start Location

  • My start location box isn’t working, it won’t let me insert any values. It has grey boxes with little pixelated “I” characters in them overlaid on the box.

    Did you set the required API Keys on the settings page?

    If so, then check the browser console for any Google Maps related errors and let me know what they are. Often the error itself contains a link explaining the problem.

    This is in my settings page, not when I use the map on the website itself. I get this message: Please provide the name of a city or country that can be used as a starting point under “Map Settings”.

    But when I try to add a city or country, the box isn’t live – there’s just little “I” symbols enclosed in grey circles. I regenerated a new api key and restricted it correctly, but still no luck.

    I’m having the exact same issue. I just installed the plugin inserted my Server API Key but not Browser API Key since I have no idea what a Browser Key is. I don’t see the option for a “Browser Key” in Google’s API Console. Please advise.

    When going to the page with your shortcode and inspect, I see this error:

    “Google Maps API error: MissingKeyMapError https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#missing-key-map-error”

    Could you please advise what may be going on. I did find the Browser Key and added that as well but still no joy.
