Contact form inserting line breaks automatically

I have a contact form on my page at https://retirementplanninginfo.org/?page_id=3. I’m trying to get the field names to line up horizontally with the field boxes. Right now the field name is on top of the field box.

When I try to line them up side by side, once I save the file, the line break keeps getting re-inserted automatically and so they revert back to be one on top of the other.

Does anyone have any experience as to what may be causing this? Or know how I might go about fixing this?
