Protocol Relative URL breaking external links

Hi, after the recent update, it seems like the external links are changed to Protocol relative format. And that has caused problem in my site. Sites that are on HTTP are being loaded as HTTPS by default, so it results in site not found error. How can I fix it? There does not seem to be an option to disable protocol relative URL for external sites.

Edit: I mean how to disable protocol relative for external sites on the content area only because not all sites use HTTPS and when protocol relative is used, they’re being loaded in HTTPS by default.
