We recently installed Mailpoet on a Go Daddy managed WordPress. Mailpoet is version 2.7.8 and WordPress is 4.7.3.

After a few tests we noticed random delivery failures (mail got into spam folders, or just bounced). So we followed the advice on Mailpoet website and started using SendGrid, and since then every message is delivered correctly, so that was a great solution.

However, now we have a new problem. In the settings we kept the default configuration of sending 70 mails per hour. The newsletter we tried sending the other day has 82 subscribers. When I checked the status today, it shows 70 sent and 12 “In Queue.” Clicking to see who’s in the queue shows “Failed Send” on the status of all 12.

Looking around for solutions I clicked the link called “Don’t wait & send right now” and immediately all 12 from the queue were delivered successfully.

I assume there’s a problem (maybe related to Go Daddy) where the program that is supposed to send batches of 70 only runs the first time.

What can we do to fix this? Since we are using SendGrid could we increase the number per hour to 1000? Is there something else to configure in Mailpoet, WordPress, or Go Daddy?
