Required field text box in payment option

    First and foremost I am going to apologise for my vagueness on this subject – I have really no idea how to describe what I want.

    I am making a form with a payment option.

    In half of the items, the customer will check what they want to purchase – DONE – no more questions

    In the other half of the items, the customer will want to [b]renew[/b] a subscription and they must put in their “code” in another box – and it must be a required field

    Hey! Thank you for posting your question!

    You can achieve this using Conditional Fields of Form Maker plugin. Let me describe all the necessary steps you need to take.

    1. Firstly add a required text input, you will then set it to initially be hidden with Conditional Fields.
    2. Afterwards navigate to Form Options > Conditional Fields. You will need to set up the conditions here based on the following logic:

    [show] Text input field [if all of the following match]
    Select box value [is] ESET AV Renew

    The text input will only appear when users select ESET AV Renew option of your field. Could you please give this a try? Let us know if this works.

    Thank you SO MUCH for understanding what I was after. It worked beautifully.

    It is a shame that you can’t do the same with with custom text – as it can’t be hidden ??
    Was hoping I could hide details on how to do something but only when the option was chosen.

    We are glad to know Conditional Fields helped.

    Please note, that you can do the same thing with Custom HTML fields. They can be used in Conditional Fields tab, and they are indicated with custom_1, custom_2, depending on the number of Custom HTMLs on your form.
