I can’t believe you stole my email to spam me

Hi,

1. We are using the Freemius.com feedback service (which complies with www.remarpro.com guidelines) to gather feedback about our theme usage in an organized way.

2. You CAN switch the theme without answering the survey, there is a big button specifically for skipping the question.

3. Freemius is a opt-in only service. We wouldn’t have your email address if you haven’t specifically accepted to opt-in with Freemius (when activating the theme for the first time).
The newsletter that was sent out contained information about our newest theme released here on www.remarpro.com, nothing else.

4. When you get a 100% free WordPress theme that doesn’t try to sell you anything, would you agree that the theme developer can at least try and get some feedback about how it is used and what people like/dislike about it? Considering also that you get to benefit from free, timely support here in the public forums?

Is a simple opt-in only question so much to ask, considering that tens of hours were spent coding and developing a theme that you can simply discard publicly with uncensored words?

And you hide it in the capture, but there is an option that is BY DEFAULT a consent to send you PRIVATE DATA. And then you spammed me.

But you are wrong here. As I said previously, Freemius is OPT-IN ONLY. You provided your consent when you activated the theme and accepted the Freemius app request, similar to the ones that appear on Facebook.

What I’m trying to explain is that nothing was stolen or used without your actual consent. The fact that a button is blue or not doesn’t mean that other buttons are not there.
Your initial claim “Couldn’t do it without responding” was untrue as well, that’s what I’m trying to point out.

P.S. Freemius has been removed from all my themes here on .org. That usage data is not worth a bad review, so just to be on the safe side – it is now completely gone.
