I am neither able to activate jetpack plugin nor able to delete it

    I am neither able to activate jetpack plugin nor able to delete it. I have installed the plugin.
    While activating it says

    Warning: require_once(/home/u487928247/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/_inc/lib/class.media.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/u487928247/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack.php on line 25

    Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/u487928247/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/_inc/lib/class.media.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/php-5.6/pear’) in /home/u487928247/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack.php on line 25

    And while deleting it says:

    Deletion failed: Internal Server Error

  • Hello there,

    Try to access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, and go to wp-content/plugins/ folder and delete that plugin.

    Now install a fresh jetpack plugin from your WordPress dashboard.

    Some files are missing. Please install this plugin through FTP software. How to install through FTP? Just watch the tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gklNI_c2vQ0.

    If you have SSH access to your server you can navigate to the wp-content/plugins/ directory and delete the jetpack plugin directory. You can also delete the jetpack plugin directory through FTP/SFTP if you do not have SSH access. After you delete the jetpack plugin directory, you can install it again through your wordpress dashboard.
